Springfield

The Springfield, Massachusetts facility is located at an industrial park operated by Solutia Inc. Monsanto began producing Melamine resins at this site in 1946 under the Resimene trade name.
At the Springfield Plant, INEOS Melamines manufactures numerous Melamine resins. The two primary families of resins produced at the site include methylated resins anf co-etherified resins. The co-etherified resins incorporate butanol as well as methanol into the manufacturing process. During the 61 year production history at the site, the manufacturing capacity has been steadily increased. Recent projects have increased plant capacity more than 30% during the last three years. Excellent safety and environmental performance along with continuous improvements in product quality all combine to make the Springfield Plant a world class manufacturing site.
