Published on October 20th 2008Continued cost increases force INEOS Melamines to increase its prices
In order to recover the continuing significant increases in the cost of raw materials, energy and freight, INEOS Melamines is increasing prices on all melamine formaldehyde resins as follows:
All Resimene and Maprenal methylated, butylated and co-ether resins: USD 0.28/lb
All Resimene and Madurit waterborne resins: USD 0.21/lb
All Maprenal benzoguanamine resins: USD 0.50/lb
All Resimene Powder resins: USD 0.28/lb
These increases are effective for all shipments to North and South America on or after October 15, 2008 and are separate from Methanol surcharges, which are currently in effect.
INEOS Melamines is pursuing all possible avenues to mitigate these unprecedented cost increases, however, the increases are justified and necessary to quickly offset these continued cost increases.
